The "Old Longsword of Suffering" was created after the third attempt by a sage in Nida. Galen Fury formerly known by his nickname of Divine Fury, intrepid explorer and adventurer extraordinaire - the bane of monsters and undead everywhere, knew the ways of the sages and his eyes lit up at the mention of the common materials needed to create the unique item as he had several of those materials. Thus, it was only a matter of time before the odds were in his favour despite the sage claiming that the constellations were not in alignment (they never are!).
