Confronting the undead horde, Blackhand West, a shipwreck survivor stranded on Beluterra, stood fast. They rushed at him and he smote them down - right, left! Duck and weave then stab! Bodies fell and formed piles three feet deep and Blackhand started to sweat as his strokes grew slower and more labored. But still, the army came at him and he could not afford to stop. His blade was stained with much undead goop as he finally slew the last foul smelling zombie. He was about to sigh in relief and collect his winnings when he heard a primal cry.

A champion.

The champion, clad in bulky armor, was wielding a hammer and rushed at Blackhand. Blackhand slid his heel back and braced himself. The champion, while large, was suprisingly nimble and sparks literally flew as their weapons clashed. Then suddenly, Blackhand blocked an overhead hammer smash with the flat side of the blade. As he had hoped, the blade held for a second before breaking in two. With a sudden release of resistance, the champion fell forward and was impaled with the spare dagger Blackhand kept on his boot at all times. The champion wheezed and growled and pushed himself up for another flurry of attacks at Blackhand. However, they lacked the same intensity as before and were easily dodged. He gamely kept at it for a few minutes until his strength was finally exhausted and he fell down dead.

Shaken by the brutality of the fight, it took Blackhand a moment to collect himself, before he promptly took the hammer out of the hands of the dead champion. To the victor goes the spoils.

He noted that the hammer had suffered some damage from the fight, with 9% of it completely gone. However, the hammer, he noted also had some strange insignia... perhaps an ancient prestious noble family's crest? He didn't know but he'd soon find out. (Prestige +4)
