Region Description while city of the Morek Empire]]

This region description was placed on the city in the Autumn of 20 YD. The italicized locations are also estates available in the city.

Sourced in an ancient tale, the city celebrates its foundation by the giant known as Nifel and his wife Belianzi. Often known as the "Jewel of the North," Nifelheim is a city with heritage and destiny. Nifelheim is completely surrounded by the townsland region of Nifel and is situated close to the Black River. From the higher flights of Nifelheim, one can clearly see its brother city Muspelheim and its townsland Muspel. The city is built around a fortified citadel and spire known as Belianzi's Tower. Surrounding this citadel are various districts containing domed residences, temples, guildhalls, dueling arenas, and public buildings. Prominent in the city's districts, in addition to the central Tower, is Fort Nifel, where the militia are headquartered, Castle Ironsides, the residence of the reigning Lord, and Northnastrond Palace, which served as the Court for the reigning Dalian monarchs.

Nifelheim was once the capital city of Summerdale, founded in the Winter of 5 YD, until the city's besiege and conquest by the Morek Empire during the Long Winter of 19 YD. Found in the centre of the city near the Tower is the Dalian Arch, an honorific monument commemorating the war between the Morek Empire, the Libero Empire and Summerdale (18 YD to 19 YD). It also memorializes the defeat of Dalian imperialism championed by Queen Charlotte Grancourt. The arch was commissioned by Lord Bowie Ironsides who became the first Morekan to rule the city after its conquest.
