Letta was born to a wealthy merchant family in Osaliel sometime before the Fall of Soliferum. It is believed that her family had a long history in trading exotic materials and dyes used in making clothing for the nobility and other items. For most of her childhood she was raised to eventually marry into a noble family where she could exercise diplomacy, estate management, and the other necessarily functions of a noble household. Alongside her training she also took a great interest in theology and the Church of the Trinity allowing her to study many subjects that would lead to her later decision to join the priesthood.
At some point in her later teenage years she was introduced to Edmund Zaccone, later to be Edmund O'Neil, and the two became quickly infatuated with one another. On the day of Edmund's graduation from the Osaliel Military Academy and just before the Fall of Soliferum, the two were wed in an extravagant, but small ceremony that seemed to defy the war raging just outside the city.
