The city of Muspelheim has long been an economic center for all of Springdale. The main road from Nifelhold to Aegir, Muspelheim has profited from this becoming one of the largest and richest cities in the whole of the The Empire. It contains the Crown of Virovene, an inn known for its high nobility frequenting its beds. Currently a large fortress is being restored by Duke Cato De La Fere. All the levels of fort have his family crest crafted onto it and on every gate. The reason for this is that Muspelheim was the old capitol of the lost Realm of Virovene. This realm was destroyed by daimons, but a decendent of the ruling family is back ruling over the city today. But on the fourth level the design changes. First, to honour De La Fere's lost realm Virovene, there is a De La Fere family chest (blue with golden lilys)and name Virovene on the main gate. Second next to the gate there is a memorial plate inside the wall. There are names: Charles De La Fere, last ruler of lost Virovene. The Lords of Muspelheim: Marquess Tye von Snipe and Viscount Kole Kalmar. The Knights of Muspelheim who tolerated low taxes for building the wall: Lady Evangelina Driscol, Lady Kurecalle Kestrel, Alister Defender, Terus Dragonite, Ferber DeRouen, Landro Darlor Lawrence and Randemicos Pope.
