Main striking force of Minas Leon is The Legion. Its ranks are made of knights in their prime years, as well as young lions and experienced veterans. These knights are King's most valuable troopleaders, knights who guarantee freedom of all Leonians with their very lives. Golden cross on the field of black is their coat of arms.
History
Legion of Minas Leon was founded on the day Leohampton seceded from monarchy of Minas Ithil. The army comprised of few knights loyal to Duke Raoul De La Fere and Duchy of Leohampton. They vowed upon the great shield in ducal hall, later proclaimed the morning hall, to uphold the laws of newly formed realm and protect the King in all matters. Soon many flocked to the golden banner, and after a series of exhausting battles, Leohampton was defended. Afterwards, The Legion shifted into the offensive, beating Ithilians back step by step, until the old monarchy crumbled.
After a short lasting peace, Legion of Minas Leon engaged in another war, this time against usurpers of Silnaria.
