Those who enter the great city of Aygr can only gasp in amazment at the many wonders that behold them. From sea the great acropolis of Aygr pierces the sky with monumental architecture the like of which are only seen in the oldest realms of the East. A top of this massive fortification lays many of Melheds most important buildings. The Imperial Senate, Odeon Cruor, Temple to the Old Gods, and the Imperial Library.

The Imperial Library was constructed during the age of reason. It is a particularly impressive structure. Its is without flaw. Its stones are without wear. It seems indestructable. Some believe this is a bad omen, while others see this as a convenience. Careful inspection of the building has indicated its stones are volcanic in nature, and many suggest that they were removed from Kalamar Island's Chaos Temple during the Avamar Selective fiasco. How they arrived in Mehled few can speculate.

Though many brave Melites refuse to enter the Imperial Library, there appears to be little affect to those who do. Its many hall are lined with the writings of the worlds greatest cultures, teachers, and religions. For those who enter, and are of noble blood, feel free to browse the libraries many shelves.
