'''Roleplay from Sorsha McDowell'''

The garden of the Royal Palace had been modified for the ceremony. A pathway of flower petals had been laid out for the bride and groom leading to a small dais.

Several other small paths had been cleared to allow chairs which were set out in rows. Some trees, and rose bushes had been cleared out to allow the guests a clear view of the couple.

In what remained of the flowers and trees, long flowing ribbons had been draped over the branches. The fragrance was amazing. The flowers were in perfect bloom, and the wind carried stray petals, making them dance lightly until they settled on the ground, or simply floated away.

The garden appeared to have been plucked out from a fantasy. The atmosphere was enchanting, mesmerizing and all who attended would beyond their control feel the magnificence and serenity of this small haven.  For once, they would see the world as Sorsha did, as if looking through her eyes – A sweet, beautiful dream.

Servants were dressed in their best for the wedding ceremony, and directed the guests who were slowly beginning to arrive, to their chairs.

'''Roleplay from Hexic Jeckyl'''

Hexic arrived good and early. The earliest he had ever been for such a celebratory occasion. Today was one day he could not afford to be late for. He was Mathias' best man. From what Hexic understood, that meant he had to make sure Mathias reached the alter fully clothed. Piece of cake. Mathias no doubt had people that would dress him, and Sorsha no doubt had sent Lorlan or another of her servants to make sure the Duke was fully clothed as well. Just to be sure, Hexic sent his aid, Haskil, to make sure Duke Mathias was fully clothed as well. In the meantime, Hexic would be impressing a bridesmaid or two. Possibly at the same time.

'''Roleplay from Kisharianda Onyxien'''

The day had begun rather early today the palace was busy with not only the King’s servants but Lady Sorsha had brought her own to ensure everything was perfect. Kisharianda had took out her dress and seen that the King’s formal attire had been pressed clean, honorable badges shined and shoes were all set for him to get into. Kish walked around the palace with her hair in rolls and she didn’t care much what the staff thought she went about giving orders to make sure Sorsha’s needs were met and that she could concentrate on herself rather then the guests that were going to attend.

Taking a few moments she ordered four guards to her study for a private talk. She looked over at the box she had fashioned together the night before and smiled.

“My Queen,” the men entered and bowed “You called for us” one guard spoke proudly

“Yes, come in and close the door” she sat on the other side of the desk.

“As you know today is your Marshal’s wedding, I do not wish for anything to go wrong, not the slightest mistake is to be made” she sat back “The guests have all been sent out invitations, in the midst of all this we have had new nobles who have joined our realm they as well have been given private invitations” she paused “No one is to enter through that door without presenting their proof of invitation and the McDowell seal must be intact” she looked at the men and showed them an original copy for them to see and compare

“Also there is a matter of Rathan Himoura who I am sure will do all in his power to ruin this day, since we are having the wedding in a secluded area there is but one entrance. You are familiar with Rathan are you not?” she asked “Yes m’lady we are” and all four men nodded “Good he is not to enter the premises under any circumstances, if he presents himself you are to put him under arrest immediately and I do not want any of you to underestimate him, is that understood” she ordered and the men nodded again “The Black Lions are posted outside the castle wall to help keep an eye open, some are dressed as nobles and commoners so that they may not be recognized. Others are posted at the gate, you four will be posted at the entrance of the garden and you will dress formally to honor your Marshal” she smiled and they nodded again in silence.

“Master Ugyel will be sitting at the back of the garden if assistance is needed” and she chuckled “He is an old man but do not under estimate his power or for he masters special abilities that will stop him dead in his tracks” her brows raised and she winked knowing all to well that Ugyel despised anyone who would stand in the way of a perfect wedding day. “Now go get yourselves into formal gear and post yourself to greet our guests accordingly” The men left the room and Kisharianda got up and left for the Kitchen.

Upon entering she walked to Charles to make sure that everything was coming together smoothly and Charles reassured her by telling her that Lady Sorsha had already made sure that everything she desired was being prepared.

She walked through the halls giving last minute orders and details as she made her way to Sorsha’s private chambers and she knocked on the door and waited for her servants to greet her.

'''Roleplay from Cenarious Stormrage'''

Attempting to finish his work, Cenarious sat at his desk in his study answering diplomatic letters. His writing went on for some time but it was eventually interrupted by a Black Lion who stood nervously clearing his throat.

"Yes?" Cenarious asked with barely a pause and only a brief glance at the man. "What is it Captain Hugo?"

"The patrols are out as you requested Your Majesty." the Captain responded swiftly. "The Queen has issued orders in regards to guarding the grounds and the wedding as well.."

"Are her plans sufficient?" Cenarious inquired while continuing his writing.

"They are.. quite good Your Majesty.." Captain Hugo said nervously. "But what about your previous orders?"

"Put her plans in motion but keep all the ambushes as well as the reserve troops in place." Cenarious answered with a subtle smile at the Captain's attempt at a diplomatic answer. "Let me be quite clear Captain, nothing will ruin this wedding or heads will roll. If anyone steps out of line I expect them to be detained immediately, and be certain to issue orders for the use of lethal force if necessary in apprehending Rathan. If the healers can't save him for his execution then that is just too bad, I wont allow him to ruin my daugh.. my Marshal's wedding day."

Thinking about the wedding brought a broad smile to his face. To think, the pretty young girl that had come to him as a fresh faced rookie soldier had grown into a beautiful lady as well as a capable Marshal. The only sad thing was that he would have to put on some ceremonial outfit for the wedding no doubt. Then again with the all the recent threats on his life maybe he could convince his wife that his armor, or at least his leathers, would be more fitting.. she probably would see right through his arguement but she was often wise enough to let him win once in a while if only so that when she did really want something he wouldn't fight against her wishes too hard. Regardless the King went no where without his sword so at least he would have that.

'''Roleplay from Manfred Altenhar'''

Earl Manfred and Sir Brackern give their men leave to visit the city, with strict instructions to leave their weapons behind and stay out of trouble. The pair then tour the city, spending time at the Guild of chivalry where Manfred makes some enquiries, and the temple of the Dragons. They marvel as the Massive fortifications and the Dragons Gate.

"The fortifications at Golden Farrow are as strong as this, Brackern, but the D’Harans have a greater flair for design. We make everything practical and sturdy while they make everything beautiful".

Later they visit the Golden palace and note the wedding celebrations. They corner an official and send their greetings to the king.

'''Roleplay from Skyndarbau Melphrydd'''

Skyndarbau got out of bed, and in his head there was no more room for yet another happy thought, for this was to be a marvelous day. As always he first did some excercises to loosen his muscles, and then he went to look for breakfast. Following his nose, he arrived at the kitchen. People were crawling around all over like ants, busy preparing all kinds of deliciously smelling meals. In the chaos, he managed to get away with some bread and sausage. Chewing loudly he went back to his room, and to his great surprise, he found a small but elegant box and a letter on his bed. Having opened the box, he discovered a dagger under a satin piece of fabric bearing the seal and initials of the D'Haran crown.

The dagger truly was a work of art, the hilt engraved with vines, and decorated with red gems. Perfectly balanced. Althoug Skyndarbau had stuck to his twin daggers since he was a kid, he removed one and replaced it with the Queen's present. The new dagger looked even better next to the well-made, but simple and undecorated one of his own. He decided to wear it all day, in honor of the Queen. Next, he went to see his liege, Wasylis, to show off about the new addition to his belt. His mentor was nowhere to be found. Skyndarbau hoped he would see him at the wedding, although, somewhere under his thick skull, his memory whispered something about a mission Wasylis has departed on, in his ear. Skyndarbau shrugged, and went out of his room again, in the search of some entertainment. He sure was excited about the events to come! A simple plan came up into his head; Why not take a stroll around the castle's premises?

'''Roleplay from Sorsha McDowell'''

Sorsha was sitting in front of her vanity, looking at the mirror lost in thought when there was a knock at the door. Lorlan was sitting near her, talking softly. He knew Sorsha better than anyone, and he knew something was bothering her. He kneeled before her and cupped her chin. Had they been in the presence of others, he would have never dared, but alone he did so to show his affection, for he loved her immensely and served her out of love and loyalty and not simply out of duty.

“What is wrong?” he whispered and her blue eyes looked over. They were so pale today, still the violet flecks in them gave them the vitality she needed. “I’m not sure Lorlan… is this where I am supposed to be?” she asked so softly, her voice lost it's strength.

“Sorsha,” he said informally. “Of course you are. I have been with you since you were but a lass, and have followed you here, and will continue to do so. Now you have become a beautiful, commanding woman and now you are getting married! Duke Mathias is your match, I have observed you together, and you both deserve to be together, you deserve happiness.” He said with enthusiasm and then his eyes moistened. “I am so proud of you. More… glad I lived long enough to see the passing of this day.”

“Yes,” she gave him a weak smile. She didn’t say anything else, she could not share with him the weight that was sinking her heart that day – Rathan. It was as if she could feel his presence as he approached from a distance. And every minute made her swallow with fear. She could have very well been marrying Rathan Himoura that day. Her life was filled with incredibly hard decisions, ones she wasn’t proud of, and others that seemed to haunt her, and would haunt her the rest of her life.

There was a knock at the door and she looked up. “Please get the door Master Lorlan,” she told him and he rose from the ground and bowed. “Yes my Lady.”

When he got to the door, he opened it to reveal the Queen. “Your Majesty,” he bowed low, speaking humbly. “The Lady Sorsha is within, I will leave you some privacy,” he told them and left.

When he did, Sorsha looked up to Kisharianda who walked in and closed the door behind her. Sorsha rose from her chair, she was still dressed in her leathers, she hadn’t even begun to prepare yet. “My Queen,” she greeted.

'''Roleplay from Kisharianda Onyxien'''

Kish entered the room and closed the door behind her, she noticed Sorsha was still in her leathers and she sat at the corner of the bed and smiled at her.

"Big day my dear" and she patted the bed next to her for her to sit. Sorsha nodded and sat.

"It still feels like it were only yesterday I walked down to meet Cenarious at the tree of love" and she smiled at the memory and Sorsha remained silent listening. There was something about Sorsha that very instant and Kish could feel some sort of confusion coming from her, not like it was very hard to see she should have been smiling and filled with expressions but she wasn't. She had some sort of distant look on her face, but Kish did not push she just looked at Sorsha and thought to give her words of encouragement instead.

"Do you remember the day you fell in love with Mathias?" she cocked her head and gave a warm smile. "The warm embrace your body felt the moment he touched you?, your first kiss?" she looked down at her lap and back at Sorsha "A woman's love for a man is more then just an emotion it's something that is deep within you, something you cannot touch or see" she paused "Much like a blind man who cannot see where he is going but trusts where his feet is taking him" she stood up "You, much like myself are probably wondering if you are making the right choice, and before you answer this Sorsha I have to tell you that it's absolutely normal to feel the way you are feeling now, for a blind man could see you have doubts" she paused for a moment giving Sorsha a moment to think of what she had just said "Are you getting cold feet my lady?"

'''Roleplay from Sorsha McDowell'''

Sorsha smiled and looked away. “I wouldn’t say cold feet…” she admitted honestly. “I just wish for once my decisions didn’t have such a chaotic effect and all the people I cherish, and love, and have sworn to protect would not be in danger.”

She then looked to the McDowell ring on her finger, today would be the last day she’d have a complete ring around her finger. “I do remember the moment I fell in love with Mathias… and our first kiss…” she smiled fondly and her eyes glinted. “Even more so, I could close my eyes this very moment and tell you exactly where Mathias is, our bond is that strong…I can almost still feel his touch,” this was a secret she had never shared with anyone, Mathias knew, but she wasn’t sure if he understood the magnitude of it.

“I’m just afraid of the unknown.”

Kisharianda listened as Sorsha told her how she felt and she nodded at her comment silently.

"I understand exactly how you feel" she chuckled "Do you remember my wedding day? I was so nervous and scared I thought I would fall flat on my face walking in front of the crowd to be given away to Cenarious. It was also a few days after the rebellion had taken place, a new King meant a new beginning but I couldn't help but wonder what would come of everything. It's in our nature to worry about the unknown because we think to much" she laughed

"I can tell you this much, everyday has its burden Sorsha and everyday brings new passages in our lives. Today is your day a day to embrace and cherish, worry not what tomorrow will bring for you will not be alone to face them" she put her hand on her shoulder "Mathias will be there with you to help you with whatever challenges life may throw your way no matter how big they are. You have brought much change in his life, a softness to his heart and strength in his soul. You should be at ease to know that you are making a good choice with Mathias and I know that you will both bring each other happiness" she knew where Sorsha was coming from, she had gone through so much to get where she was now it was only normal for her to feel like something was going to ruin her happiness.

"I assure you that today will not be interrupted for only a fool would dream of causing havoc in the palace, unless he had a death wish. The King and I made sure of it. So do not let your fears of tomorrow ruin what you have today, for the sun will set this evening putting to rest the day's worries and rise again to bring new ones tomorrow" she smiled

"Is there anything I can do for you" she pulled a fallen strand of her hair back and smiled "Today I am at your beck and call" she laughed and bowed the very same way Sorsha would bow to her. "Command me Sorsha" and she smiled playfully

Sorsha smiled at Kisharianda’s words. “Yes I know you are right… and I know I shouldn’t have much to worry about. It is just…it has taken me so long to get here. And still I am afraid all of this is but an illusion.”

As the Queen bowed to her, a humorous grin touched her lips. “I would love for you to finish making yourself beautiful for the King… and the guests. Sorsha reached in and touched the Queen’s hair lightly. “It will be a magical day, I know this in my heart.”

She then reached down to touch the Queen’s hands. “I know love like this is rare, and many go through an entire lifetime without ever once knowing this feeling. Not only is this day to celebrate the love Mathias and I share, but it is in these moments when new hearts discover one another. I wish for all present to at least feel what it is we feel for each other, even if it is just for a moment.” Sorsha then slowly let go of the Queen’s hands. “Those are my orders for today,” she finished playfully and Kisharianda smiled.

The Queen bowed again and looked up. “Your wish is my command,” she smiled and then Sorsha couldn’t hold back any longer and put her arms around her. “Thank you,” she whispered.

Kisharianda whispered soothing words to her and then she quietly left.

When Sorsha was left alone again it only took a few moments for her servants to begin filing in her room with several questions thrown at her. “Would the lady like her bath prepared?”

”How would the Lady like her hair done for the day?”

“Would the Lady like something to eat?”

“Was the Lady ready to see her gown?”

There were so many questions thrown at her at once, she had difficulty keeping up. She put her hand up to stop them all. “Let’s start with the hair,” she told them and several women smiled and approached her…

'''Roleplay from Manfred Altenhar'''

Manfred & Brackern stood watching the battle in astonishment, as a suicidal band of Infantry charged the assembled might of Port Raviel.

"My moneys on the home side" said Brackern

"That would be your military genius speaking then?" replied Manfred. "Look at em charge! You certainly can't fault their courage...just their sanity. What’s this?"

Manfred winced as the small group clattered into the larger in a clatter of armor and swords. The small group scattered and routed in the direction of Manfred and Brackern.

The leader of the attacking band spurred his horse up to the pair. He grinned at them audaciously "Sirs I seem to be unwelcome at these proceedings. My name is Rathan. I need some protection. I wonder if one of you would wish to take me on as a knight?"

Manfred leaned back and regarded him with a jaundiced eye. "We're guests here Sir Rathan. And you look to be a lunatic. Can someone tell me what is going on? Why did you attack?"

'''Roleplay from Manfred Altenhar'''

"Err.. I'm afraid I can't accept your services Rathan. While I admire your enthusiasm and initiative I'm afraid you're what we call a bit of a loose Magonel. Now you have a bit of a head start and that looks like some of King Cenarious' personal guard headed this way, so I advise that you develop the talent of invisibility in the immediate future. Ta Ta and thanks for the show!"

As Rathan departs, Mannfred says "Can you believe the audacity of the fellah! He'd certainly make things interesting back in sleepy old Caerwyn. I'm almost sorry I had to say no to him. But I can't think the Archon would thank us for bringing him back with us!"

'''Roleplay from Carlos Francisco Torres de los Reyes'''

Carlos Francisco smiled at the invitation he received to the wedding. Making his way to the ceremony, he stopped to purchase some flowers. Nothing overly showy, but enough to congratulate to the lovely bride and groom.

Once at the ceremony he set the flowers down in a small vase with a card near the other gifts, which were beginning to stack up. He took his seat towards the back of the audience and enjoyed the ceremony and festivities.
