'''Roleplay from Sorsha McDowell'''

Sorsha had just arrived in Paisly when her servant approached with a stack of letters and reports. She took the stack and entered her tent. Slowly she removed her gloves and untied her long hair, she rubbed her lower back and tried to stretch. She was growing larger by the day and it was making her movements rather difficult.

When she eventually sat, she sighed with relief and cradled her stomach, running her hand over it lovingly. She read through her letters first, and then sent some out of her own. When she got to the reports, she broke open a seal and read the contents slowly. When she read Rathan’s name across it, her mouth turned dry and her eyes grew wider.

She read the report again, and this time she stopped breathing. Her hand crumbled the parchment and she yelled out with fury, throwing it in the corner of her tent.  She had risen from the chair and was pacing the small area. What was she going to do?

She could only imagine what the King would do to Rathan once he found out he had been captured. The queen was kind, and sympathetic, but that wasn’t going to save Rathan, she was the confessor after all.

Should she write to Kisharianda and finally tell her the truth? Then… Sorsha could very well be the one banished for her relation to him, perhaps earn herself the axeman’s block if they thought the worst of her. She had and would forever remain loyal to D’hara... Hence the reason why she was still here, and Rathan in Madina. She knew they would remain separated, but that was a sacrifice she was willing to pay. More so, she wanted her child to have a father, Kisharianda could understand that wouldn’t she? Being a mother, and having Selena who was Bowie’s child, a child Sorsha had sworn to protect with her life. The child of a man who had done the same as Rathan. Would Cenarious show mercy instead and simply have Rathan deported?

Sorsha’s insides began to burn at the thought. If Rathan’s life was cut short because of this, she didn’t know what she would do. Her knees hit the ground and she began to cry, praying for his deportation.

'''Roleplay from Hexic Jeckyl'''

Hexic read the report about Rathan. He knew that Rathan had been part of a larger Madina plan. Hexic wouldn't be surprised if a Madina army was about to arrive in Agl. As the gravity of this sunk in, Hexic issued orders and made requests for scout reports. Ever since Hexic had learned that Rathan was alive, he knew he would be part of a larger ploy by Madina to conquer D'Hara. If Madina was indeed on its way, D'Hara was in store for one hell of a battle.

'''Roleplay from Sorsha McDowell'''

Sorsha had traveled to the capital as fast as she could. She had been in Maeotis for far too long now. Her city had been taken care of by the people she left in place to ensure that it would run smoothly, but it seemed monsters were rampaging in more places than one, which to her was only a bad omen. She had spent most of her traveling in tears, distraught over Rathan’s fate.

Therefore when she arrived in Port Raviel, she made her way to the town square as fast as she could, giving orders for her men to stay behind, only bringing with her, her captain. When she arrived, she pushed through the crowd as fast as she could to the front of the crowd who were all clamoring to watch the execution that was to take place that day.

When she arrived at the front, her eyes locked to Rathan’s and she could see the fear in his eyes as he realized she was there, watching. They stared at each other while the announcement of his crimes were made and her lips trembled uncontrollably. She looked to the executioner with a pleading gaze and back to Rathan. There wasn’t enough time, her heart pounded in her chest so rapidly she couldn’t hear the shouting of the crowd.

When they set him down, Sorsha’s blue eyes looked on without pulling her gaze away. The purple flecks in her eyes danced with the tears that were now trailing onto her cheeks. There was still so much she needed to tell him, so much she had wanted to do, and she would never get the chance again.

With trembling lips she whispered words to him, “I’ll love you forever.” As she said them, she broke into a sob, and her captain put a comforting arm around her trembling shoulders. He didn’t know why she was so affected, but he reacted out of instinct to a woman who has obviously distraught.

When she realized it was time, she moved away from her Captain in a panic. “Noooo,” she pushed a man out of her way and he scrambled back. “No, please Gods don’t take him from me,” she whispered painfully and tried to run, to do anything to stop it from happening, but her captain ran after her, and held her back and she was forced to watch unable to do anything.

When the light in Rathan’s eyes died out, Sorsha let out a terrible wail that could be heard over the shouts of the crowd. “NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!” she cried out mournfully and fell to her knees. The moment so terrible it knocked the breath from her lungs, the blow itself taking the very life from her. “Noooo…” she moaned again, crying.

“Damn you!” she cried out to the heavens, her body shaking so much she could barely hold herself up.

“I will never forgive you…” she whispered. The words meant for those who cut her heart and life away from her. Her Captain tried to pick her up from the ground, and as he did, Sorsha cried out. The sudden cramp in her stomach was unbearable. She hunched over and put a hand over her stomach protectively and cried out again as another wave of pain hit her.

“Milady,” her captain frowned and tried to pick her up again. “Kill me, just let me die with him,” she said and he shook his head weakly. Instead of listening to her he picked her up in his arms. Again, more pain took her and she cried out with misery.

He carried her away from the ground to a place she had stayed previously. When they arrived, he fetched the physician that had been following her closely the last few months due to her pregnancy. When the physician entered, Sorsha was lying on the bed, crying uncontrollably and crying out with pain. He approached her carefully and examined her, when he was done, the look on his face was one of concern.

“The child should not have been due for another few weeks,” he said softly and shushed her, trying to calm her. “I believe my lord’s execution was more than you could bear,” he said sympathetically. “We will deliver the child safely” he whispered and held her close to him. “We will take care of you, my master made sure I would,” he consoled and she cried out again. He then left the tent and it wasn’t long he returned to assist her.

Cries could be heard from her room throughout the entire day, Sorsha was not only taken with immense grief but she could barely do as the physician asked. Finally when it was all done, a small cry was heard as a child was brought forth into the world.

A life for a life…

'''Roleplay from Hexic Jeckyl'''

Hexic attended the execution of Rathan. Rathan had been a mortal enemy of D'Hara, ever vowing to return and bring destruction with him. It had been sheer luck that he had been captured, and that no such destruction followed him.

Hexic stood beside the executioner on the platform where Rathan would be executed, dressed in the finery of his ducal wardrobe, his claymore slung on his back. He dreamed not of interfering with the execution, but stood ready should Rathan attempt escape, and to finish the executioner's job if the need arose.

Rathan was brought out in irons, dressed in tattered and filthy garb. He half shuffled, half dragged towards the executioner's platform. For a few moments their eyes met, and Rathan knew why the Duke was there. Duke Hexic was there to make sure he died that day.

When Rathan made it to the top of the platform, he was stopped in front of Hexic so that the Duke may address him before Rathan was executed. "Lovely ships, by the way. I had them refitted for war. I used them to help repel Madina from retaking Paisly."

Hexic signaled the executioner to continue. Within minutes Rathan was dead.

'''Roleplay from Rathan Himoura'''

Rathan looked up and sneered at Hexic, and spat at him, hitting him square in the face. Rathan's clothes were rumpled, but still clean and stylish, and his hair meticulously kept, despite his imprisonment. His eyes burned with hatred, and he walked with pride. His heart broke to see Sorsha, and he called back to her,

"I know. I'll always love you too, a'thaisce."

He steeled himself, the terror he felt rising. Not terror at losing his life, but terror for the woman he never had a chance to marry, and for his unborn child whose name he would never know, whose face he would never see, and who would be raised without a father.
