Sorsha is the youngest daughter of Mavina and William McDowell, the older brother of Dorian McDowell. She has a very nurturing nature, appears extremely timid and has no tolerance for injustice. First and foremost, she is extremely loyal to the people she loves and will fight for them until her dying breath. She is reserved, but when she feels threatened, she will step out of her shell to attack. She believes in truth, and will follow its path, as a result making her extremely blunt.

She spent most of her days growing up, keeping a watchful eye on her cousin Kaylan. Finding rare joy in being her playmate, she became her older sister in a sense, and felt a great amount of empathy for her younger cousin’s suffocating life, and tried to give her as much freedom as she could.

Upon Kaylan’s coming of age and her departure, Sorsha felt a part of her leave. Shortly after she decided to fill the hollowness in her life, and search for her place.

D'hara:

Upon arriving in D’hara, Sorsha swore an oath to the Dragon Queen, Katayanna Ogren. She then became Marchioness of Nebel, as appointed by Duke Conrac Amcastra. She gave him such a powerful oath, most nobles believed them a precursor to wedding vows. She soon realized she did indeed have strong feelings towards her Duke but deep down knew they would never be returned.

One of the nobles alerted by these vows was Sir Mathias Ridder who later became the Duke of Paisly. He admitted having feelings for her, but she was uncertain of her own in return and requested his friendship for the time being.

Later a theocratic debate ensued, in which nobles who did not believe in The Way Of The Dragon looked into Sanguis Astroism for answers. When the Queen heard of this she began to feel betrayed. It wasn’t long that Mathias was accused of being a traitor to the crown and under threat by the Queen was told to step down. Angrily, he left, and was shortly after banned.

After realizing of his departure, Sorsha broke down angrily, cursing the realm’s beloved dragons and screamed fury revealing the Queen’s Madness, only then realizing her deep affection for the Duke in question.

Unbeknownst to her, the Queen found out of Sorsha’s fondness for Mathias and began to treat her as she would have a traitor. When she discovered this, Sorsha disappeared for the safety of her person, trying to avoid the same fate Mathias had faced. With the aid of Master Ugyel, she was able to change her appearance and remain in the realm, secretly watching as Nastasia Starblaze.

Once the Queen’s madness became more apparent a rebellion was declared and led by Cenarious Stormrage. Many nobles decided to stand and fight for their beloved D’Hara. They prevailed and replaced the mad Queen with Cenarious as King.

The ban on Duke Mathias was lifted and he returned to D’hara. Under the persona of Nastasia Starblaze, she came face to face with Mathias once more only to realize she had lost more than she thought. Unable to take the distrust surrounding her, and to watch without being able to be true to herself, she again requested Master Ugyel’s assistance and returned once more to her true self.
