'''Roleplay from Alec McDowell'''

Walking through Krimml, Alec looked around, now thinking how he would need to get accustomed to new taverns and get to know the bar wenches. To anyone else, that may seem a tedious and grizzly task, to him, it screamed adventure, uncharted territory.

At that moment he passed the recruitment center. His nostrils flared and his expression turned sour. They had given him quite the runaround that morning, thinking it funny to play with his sanity, like it needed to be questioned at this time. He had enough on his mind thank you very much.

He was still upset over losing track of Kaylan, she had managed to effortlessly slip through his fingers and he ground his teeth at the thought. He had to rely on letters and be satisfied with reading her lies… again.

As he neared the tavern, he looked up at the sign with a grin ‘The Happy Cavalier’ “Well that sounds promising,” he licked his lips as his hand pressed to the door and paused as something made him turn. He looked over and his heart seemed to momentarily stop beating.

Not far from him, was a short woman with short brown hair, she shook her head at the man she was speaking with and turned around. Was that….  Brown eyes looked at him and he gave an awkward smile. It wasn’t.

She walked past him and he exhaled realizing he had been holding his breath… He looked at the door and sighed miserably, now he felt oddly guilty about entering. “ohh… this isn’t happening to me…” he whispered and bit his lip.

He straightened and squared his shoulders. “Alec you are going to walk through that door and forget green eyes, they don’t exist… you are not obsessed with…” he sighed and his shoulders slumped. “And the…Oh Gods…” he rubbed his forehead to clear his head. “This has got to stop… I’ve gone mad. This is madness, completely and utterly insane... You want fun, you want fun,” he told himself. “You can taste it…. you want it. I want… what do I want? You’re going to march through that door and take it…No…” he argued with himself.

“Are you alright?” the woman had returned, seeming to have noticed his one way conversation and watched him with amusement. “The door doesn’t bite,” she laughed and he lowered his hand with surprise, embarrassed. “You look like you could really use some ale,” she grinned, now only a step away from him.

“You have no idea,” he answered glumly and again she laughed at his comical expression. “Come handsome,” she touched his arm and gave him a gentle push and he walked through the door, “my treat.”

“Ugh…. Al, alright,” he stuttered and disappeared through the door.
