Having spent most of his early life listening to tales of the glory of the Longmane family before the [[ Morning of Tears ]] Elk dreamt of seeing it regained, and so upon reaching 17 and with his mothers, if not his fathers blessings, he took up the challenge of not simply winning back for his family the honour and renown it had known in the past, but to seek bring it more then had been known to any of his people since before the fall of [[ Torhaven ]] itself!!

Though often perceived as somewhat reserved and staid by those not close enough to really know him, Elk  is in fact entirely the opposite and when opportunity and circumstances allow loves nothing better then sharing jokes, banter and tales with those he considers friends.

Both an extremely chivalrous and highly honourable man, Elk has recently found himself wrestling more and more with the inner demons caused by the sometimes intense conflict between the two, as while his sense of honour forbids ever break an oath no matter what his personal feelings may be his chivalric code often damns him for it.
