+ | |article = As you may know, the beloved Balkeese Indirik, Queen of Perdan, was gloriously slain in battle in Woolton, while in defense of the Church of Humanity, in May of this year. Though she has become a martyr to our faith, her memory will live on until the end of days. As we all must find our own journey to the Divine, it is true that Queen Balkeese also lost her way. She was led astray and renounced her faith in favor of Sanctus Acies. This would normally disqualify an individual for martyrdom and veneration, but we have received multiple reports from one of the Montauban farming villages that before her demise, Queen Balkeese returned again to the true faith and begged forgiveness from the Divine. “Right there on the battlefield, I saw it! A great shaft of sunlight shining right down on her while she was praying! It was a miracle, I say.” reported Tristan Heath, a local farmer who had taken up arms for the cause. These reports have been confirmed by several other witnesses. Queen Balkeese was named one of the Venerable by Arch Cleric Jor Tanos in a ceremony on the 18th of this month. In light of his vision and the import thereof, Tristan has been named Templar-Sergeant of the newly restored Montauban temple. May we all mourn the loss of this faithful woman, and hold her memory in our hearts as inspiration to our own faith. May the Divine guide us justly. | ||
