The noble Klingenberg family was founded generations ago in Dsinasas, when Fredrick Klingenberg saved a nobleman's daughter from a wild boar's attack and was rewarded a minor noble title for it and some land of his own. For these actions, the family coat of arms was chosen to be an impaled boar.

The family continued it's existance mostly unnoticed, as a small family without any real power, without much land or much interference in politics and war.

Friedrich

Friedrich is a tall man, almost gaunt, with icy blue eyes and pale blond hair. Most of his life he kept it short, but lately he has let it grow, and by now it resembles somewhat the manes of a lion. Ever since he acquired the Silver Sword of Bloodletting, he has kept the blade with him at all times.

While he is well educated and definitely able to behave in noble company, his anger can be very menacing. Due to his habit to see his enemies as dehumanized monsters, he is willing to commit the greatest atrocities if they'd help him destroy his opponents. He is dedicated completely to his home region Dsinasas, but is cold towards the Lodge of Lunaria, seeing them as weak fools who are blinded by their even weaker gods.

Friedrich's troops are barely better than bandits when it comes to mentality and behavior. He makes it his goal to always pick the most brutal and grim soldiers for his service. Unlike bandits however, they are trained and equipped for maximum efficiency. He refuses to enter a battlefield if he commands mere cannon fodder.

Joaquin

Joaquin is somewhat smaller than average, with nearly feminine facial features. He has long blond hair and warm blue eyes.

Most of his youth he cared more for hunting, wooing women and drinking ... then he cared for battle. Once he became old enough however, he was made to leave for the Soliferum wars. In his very first battle, his troops were decimated and he was captured. After what seemed an eternity, on his return, he vowed to himself not to wield any weapon ever again, and became a spreader of Luna's light.

Where he was once was a cheerful young man though, he is now a broken man. Underneath the clerical, distant behavior, he is constantly plagued by doubt and negativity, wondering whether his choices have been the right ones.

Marianna

Marianna, barely younger than Joaquin, was perhaps the smartest of the current generation of Klingenbergs. Unlike Joaquin and Friedrich, she never cared much for the provincialism of Dsinasas. She left for Itorunt, of which she heard it was a powerful, faraway realm. She left there in the hopes to make a career, and become the first Klingenberg, to really be someone important.

Having been in Itorunt for several months, with the kingdom still in a constant state of peace, she managed to become the second in command of one of the empire's armies. Now, she just has to prove herself worthwhile, if she seeks to rise even more. One thing is known, her star is rising, and she will not give all that up for a distant homeland she never cared about in the first place.
