Kalmar

Kalmar, or Kalmar City is the Capitol of the Obsidian Islands. Several attacks during the war, that ended the dishonorable occupation of the Islands, have left their scars in the face of the City.

The City itself is located at the North West of the Island in the Kalmar bay. The region was located on a hill by the sea making it a good place to defend, and a good place for ocean activities. A ferry runs from here to the Chaos Temple.

Kalmar was founded after the cataclysm by adventurers. Some stopped and made their home here, too fearful of heading to the brooding, enigmatic Chaos Temple. Others stopped, and gazed in awe of the city's prospects and simply chose to stay. These people who stayed attracted merchents wishing to make a profit off the sea trade areound the island city. This all brings architects to house these new people, so the architects then house themselves. People flock to where other people flock, you see as there is more to be done with more people. With that Kalmar attracts more people than the other island regions, and thus became what it is today.

Kalmar was led by many Dukes before the Obsidian Islands where founded. The first Duke after the war ended and the Obsidian Islands where born was Sir Prometheus, who founded the realm. Later Sir Atticus was granted the title, who held it for a few months. After he stepped down Lady Caitlin was appointed as Duchess and reigns over the City with a strong hand till today. Her reign was a blessing for the City and population and infrastructure grew constantly in the war shaked Capitol.
