Jonsuism

The Jonsuist Faith is a contradiction. We do not endorse the worship of any particular deity, worshippers are free to worship any diety, for we believe they operate under many names and appearances, and to endorse one over the other is shameful to beings who have achieved divinity. We however, follow a path of learning, to understand the divine and the world around us so that we may truly honor the divine beings as the Bright Mother Jonsu has shown us. She who walks as both Divine and Mortal, her life and teachings are the key to understanding how we may also elevate ourselves.

Graven images, idols, etc are forbidden and to be destroyed where found. Such icons are pale images of mighty beings, and mock the bright light of divinity.

The Creed of the Jonsuist

Nothing before me is true, All is to be held in doubt, Save the teachings of the Bright Mother, Who walked the horizon to show us,

The Pattern of the world unfolds, And I pledge to understand, The nature of the many worlds, To bring light to our own.

Theology

The Learned Scholars of Jonsu do not prefer to worship one diety over another, instead they catalogue them and revere them all. After all, one man might know a diety as Tor, while another knows him as Sartan. Such beings are not constrained to the identities assigned them by mankind. To presume to define the divine is mortal arrogance and a cardinal sin which will bring a man low. Even more sinful is to fail to recognize the divinity all around us. For each and everything is a piece in the divine patterns, the Himoura Sequence. Look around you, and you will see the pattern of life. To understand is to elevate oneself. One might even rise, as the Bright Mother, to be a deity themselves, given a proper understanding of the cosmic pattern.

A seal commonly used by Jonsuists, referring to the Himoura Sequence.
