The contents of this page are not readily available to everyone, either because it is sensitive or because it is rare or otherwise little known knowledge. It is here for the purpose of archiving or making it more accessible to a certain audience, and this should be kept in mind while reading the contents of this page and all it's subpages.
In short, the contents of this page are to be considered OOC knowledge, except for characters who have received an in-game copy.

To paraphrase, unless your character has visited a temple, or a priest, you cannot know about such things, and I ask that you would respect that much. Also, yes it is in Old English, and to reiterate what I have said on the talk page, anyone who wants a direct translation has to ask in Character either to me, or another member of Thulsoma, or visit a temple. Obviously using Old English (Circa the early Anglo Saxon period) is a roleplay device both for Thulsoma, and Hrēdmōnath and used to create depth and encourage Roleplay, anyone who wishes for me not to use Old English will be disappointed, because I still will regardless of what they quote at me about the social contract or otherwise, and I do not see why they would bother doing such a thing if not to try and spoil what we are doing here, unless they are really that sanctimonious to a degree of being a killjoy.

To fight and die in the service of the Heofon, is to live forever in honour. This is the Covenant of the Saxon's with the Déaþgodas, that they are to be the Vanguard and servants of the Heofon in her holy and ordained earthly duty, in return all those that die in her service will be granted Neorxna in the realm of the Déaþgodas, a greatest of honours. The Heofon is the ordained (Rihtfæsten) instrument of the divine will of the Déaþgodas, there can be no greater honour, or valour, than to serve her in her holy orders (Gehádod) and convesely, there can be no greater heresy than to ignore the Heofonic commandments (Gebodscipe).

Déaþgodas is a term, one used to describe all the God's in their multitude, it is comparable to the to the term "Pantheon" or "Polytheism" (Greater explanation to be made)

Neorxnawang

A name of utmost importance and relevance to the faith of Hrēdmōnath, it is the name of the Field Of Contentment, the after life, and the famous capital of the ancient Stormland's Anglo Saxon Kingdom, home to the King of all of the Saxon kingdoms in the great heptarchy. (Greater explanation of importance to go here)

Followers and Priesthood

Hrēdmōnath follows a very strict hierarchial priesthood of its followers, one must follow the Anglo Saxon Virtues, the Commandments of the Heofon and be learned on the holy scriptures and the history of the Saxon's to become a priest, they must also be knowledgeable of other religions and cultures as well as their own, only those who are up to such rigid standards are allowed to progress into the ranks past that of a faithful follower (æfterfolgere) or a diligent servant of the Heofon (þéodenhold). Knowledge is something greatly prized within Hrēdmōnath, second only to servitude and faith.

Heofonþrym

The rank and title of the head of Hrēdmōnath, as with the Holy Army, a rank only capable of being held by a woman, due to ancient and holy tradition. The rank of the Heofonþrym is to lead the faith and the faithful Saxon's completely, any and all other titles are eclipsed by the power presented and held by the Heofonþrym. Officially this title is a shortened version of ForÞwíf Heofonþrym, and is in reference only to the religious duties, however one cannot be the Heofonþrym unless they are also the ForÞwíf Heofonþrym, an elevated position of near deified Godhood, for it is written that the Heofon shall lead the Saxon's to salvation, inheriting the limitless grasp and power of the Heáhcásere's, the one who would Reunite the Saxon Stormland's, founding the Heofonríce, the Reunited Kingdom Of Saxon Stormland's.

Forebisceop

One of the highest ranks in Hrēdmōnath, given only to the most senior active priests.

Ciricþingere

Ciricgeorn

A rank of Priesthood given to the most trusted of the faith, as their duties greatly involve managing the Hrēdmōnath treasuries and the distribution and collection of gold.

Niðernes Ciricþingere

The second full Hrēdmōnath rank. Given to worthy þéodenhold who

þéodenhold

The first full rank of Hrēdmōnath, given to all æfterfolgere who have proven themselves faithful and willing to increase their own knowledge, and abide by the Heofonic commandments and are guided by the Anglo Saxon virtues. It is the duty of all þéodenhold to donate to the faith and increase their knowledge, and to serve their leaders with grace and magnanimity.

æfterfolgere

This is the first rank given to all new noble members of Hrēdmōnath (Though it can also be used to describe the peasant followers in plural) generally this position is seen as undesirable in the faith, and it is considered a "Stepping stone", one used by the faithful to increase their knowledge of the Holy Scriptures (Bóctæcing), the history of the Stormland's and to become well versed in knowledge of foreign religions.

Temples

Temples of Hrēdmōnath are of the utmost importance, for it is a means to honour and worship the Déaþgodas, and it is a primary means for Saxon's to gain the great knowledge of their ancestors and the Holy Scriptures, and also knowledge of the world around them. It is also an important financial body of the Saxon's, used as an effective means of a treasury and gold distribution, though its more monetary based actions are handled directly by the Ciricgeorn and the Servant Of The Coin. In each temple a great wealth of knowledge is kept, and even sacred relics, with such prized possessions under their control, all temples are obligated to hire Saxonic guards, for a relic must NEVER fall into the hands of the unworthy, or worse a heretic, the same can be said for the culminated knowledge of the Saxon's, to allow this to happen would be considered one of the worst heresies possible.
