Hoelorr is a small town mostly populated by wealthy aristocrats and greedy merchants located close to the western shores of Beluaterra. The center of the town is a complex of castles and manors of local nobility, paired with many merchant warehouses and smithies, which is then completely surrounded by high walls made of stone and a muddy, deep moat. Its famous bridge networks provide both a valuable source of water and transportation, respectively. These aesthetically pleasing structures provide for much needed inspiration - and hope - for the locals, and is often the subject of many an artist and poet's musings. Outside of that aristocratic area lay the peasant hovels, fields and, further in the outskirts, a green forest. Although the Hoelorrian agriculture is sufficient to feed the region, the majority of the region's income comes from trade and commerce. Hoelorr stands at the crossroads of a many great cities: Twillen to the west, Poitra to the east and Iato, Fheuwenem and Creasur far down in the southern forests. As such, any wares that move from those distant lands are heavily taxed on the Daehoe bridge, the gateway to the West and the quickest route across Rivereed, the river which springs in the Mountains of Bara'Khur and finds its end on the western shores. <h2>History</h2> <br>For ages uncounted Hoelorr has been one of the most vital regions of Mesh. During the past invasions at one point it was the only remaining region besides the capitol. Hoelorr provided the supplies necessary to withstand the hideous sieges, and was an important bottleneck to protect Mesh from invading forces from the south.  <br>Legendary are the tales of the Horn of Hoelorr, which is basically a big and loud horn that is located on the northern bank of Rivereed; on the northern gates of Daehoe from which foreigners enter Hoelorr. In times of peril an impressive array of a dozen horn-blowers blow on the dozen pipes of the great Horn, alarming the entire northern bank of Rivereed and calling the men of the west to arms. Its colossal sound can even be heard all the way to Joppo on the north.<h2>Religion</h2> Religiously aware the folk of Hoelorr highy worship the dragons. Continent's first temple, that of the Great Dragon, was constructed in this region, drawing devout worshipers from all around the world to this place. The Temple is not very large, but the bronze dragon that lies on its entrance is a sight that will throw a man to his knees, pious or not.
 
 
Hoelorr is a townsland region in the western plains of Beluaterra. Known for being the first region on the continent to gain a Temple, it is the founding region of [[The Path of the Great Dragon]].
