Scrolls are items of magic created by wizards. Only adventurous commoners can meet these wizard, and only very rarely. They are secretive people and very hard to find.
Anyone can use the magic encapsulated in the scroll without knowing how to use any magic. Like unique items, scrolls can be traded to other characters, including nobles.
Scrolls are used up once used, each scroll can be utilized exactly once, BUT there is a chance that you may use the scroll again if you failed.
