This crest has not been with the Guilford family for long. In fact, it was Michael who had long had the idea of putting a cross, which is a common symbol used to represent his God, inside of the letter "G" as a crest for his family. This is supposed to symbolize how Christ is the foundation of the Guilford family; the core; the center. His wife, Shira, created the crest.

About

The name Guilford is a variant of Guildford (Old English), and the meaning of Guilford is "ford with yellow flowers". This family seems to have originated from the Lyton Region, which is under the control of Hammarsett on the Island of Atamara. As it would seem with most nobles in the world, they have been around for generations. No one has known of their existence until recently, however, as if they had never even existed in the world before now. Little is known about this family so far. Currently, there are only two members of this family known to anyone: Michael Guilford and his wife, Shira Guilford.

The known members of this family worship a God who is not known anywhere in the world and they are very willing to preach this God to anyone who would hear of Him. This God goes by many names, one of which is I AM. As it is written in the Old Testament:

Exodus 3:14

God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM"; and He said, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.'"

It is also a name that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, uses for Himself in the New Testament:

John 8:58

Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am."
