Golden Feather/Conclave of Ossmat

Opening Address by Askarn Iltaran

Brothers and Sisters of the Order of the Golden Feather,

Welcome to the Conclave of Ossmat. With the loss of our founder and guide, Lord Dominicus, the moment has come for us to decide the path we will take. Our first task will be to select a second Silver Feather to lead us. Yet this is not the only matter of significance before us. As we are now bereft of the divinely inspired Silver Feather, we must seek to codify what it means to be a follower of the Order. An outline of this, the Creed of Ossmat has been prepared under my instructions, for discussion and amendment by this gathering of the faithful.

But before this though, I have a happier duty to perform. As Silver Feather Locum of the Order, I am honoured to announce that four of our late brethren have Ascended to the Army of the Dragon!

Gummie Dacara was the first to join the Order after its foundation. Alongside Dominicus, he worked tirelessly to spread the knowledge of the Golden Dragon across Beluaterra. The first follower of our Order to sit upon a Throne, Gummie later ruled over the now lost city of Sandefur, where the Council of Elders met in past days. Tragically he fell fighting the Undead, but in death he has become a Hero of the Golden Dragon. Henceforth, he shall be known as Lord Gummie the Pathfinder!

Another of the earliest followers of our Order was Xeth’ranis Leung. He worked closely with Lady Melian the Golden Feather herself during the Second Invasion, commanding her armies. Despite leading the fight against the Undead legions in one of mankind’s darkest hours, Xeth’ranis considered himself a man of peace and only took up the sword to protect his homeland. He will take his place amongst the ranks of the Army of the Dragon as Lord Xeth'ranis the Dutiful!

While the Order found fertile ground in Old Grehk and Thalmarkin, it was comparatively recently that our faith spread to Fronen. Spearheading that difficult, but important mission was Mikha Tyr-Sog, long serving Blood Feather. Wielding the Axe of the Bloodeagle, he bravely went forth into lands dominated by the heathen Blood Cult, preaching the truth of the Golden Feather. Though he was attacked many times by the infidel, his belief never faltered. Lord Mikha the Zealous has been deemed worthy by the Golden Dragon to join His Army.

Finally, there is the man in whose shadow we must all stand. Without him, mankind would still lurk in the darkness, unaware of our divinely ordained path. When Lady Melian the Golden Feather sought a mortal to entrust with the heavy burden of the truth, she choose him and she choose well. Our founder Lord Dominicus the Silver Feather has taken his rightful place in the Host of the Dragon. It is his spirit that we shall seek to guide us during this Conclave, for through his Ascension, he will remain with us and all of mankind!
