Laws of Fissoa

The High Judge

Current High Judge is Victorian Ironoak. Please write to him for all necessities.

The Law

Realm Laws:

  • Civic Duty: All nobles are expected to uphold their duties to the Grand Duchy of Fissoa. Each and every noble has responsibilities and other fellow nobles counting on them to fulfill these responsibilities.

  • Hierarchy: It is important for all troop leaders follow the orders and requests of their Liege, Marshals, Lords, Duke and Fissoa's Council. If any circumstances arise when exceptions must be made, please notify the proper authorities. Failure to follow orders from those with authority is punishable by the High Judge.

  • Looting: Illegal within our borders, it may be legitimate outside the realm, but ask the council for permission beforehand. Looting can cause diplomatic issues so always stay on the side of caution. Raping, killing and burning of homes is always illegal and such actions are not carried out by nobles of The Duchy.

  • Magic: Legal unless used to harm nobles of the Grand Duchy of Fissoa or remove Council members and Lords from their positions. All mages are required to declare themselves privately to the High Judge.

  • Duels: Illegal, however duel requests can be presented to the High Judge or Council of Lords for consideration.

  • Founding a Religion: Legal only with the authorization from the High Judge.

  • Foreign Priests or Priestess: Any encountered Priests should be reported to the Judge when found in Fissoan territory.

  • Breach of Peace: Behavior unbefitting of a noble, disrespecting or insulting other nobles or causing dissension and disrupting the peace are offenses punishable by the High Judge.

  • City Decency: It is forbidden for a commoner or noble to roam the City of Fissoa drunk without a coin in their purse. Any commoner caught in this condition will be punished with jail or forced conscription. Nobles found in this state will be warned and repeated offenses may result in a fine.

Rights

Everyone is equal before the law.

Everyone may exercise the right to freedom of speech (while preserving national unity) and holds the right to defend oneself in court.

There is nothing wrong with expressing your opinion, but there is something wrong with not doing so on a respectful, honorable way.

  • Any breach of these rights should be alerted to the Judge for further process. If the Judge is accountable for breaching these rights, please alert the Grand Duke and/or the Council.

Prisoners of war

Currently you will be treated fairly.
