Monsters

After searching the area for 2 hours, following trails and noises, you finally encounter an organized horde of big, incredibly dangerous, crafty monsters. You notice that they have a leader, an alpha monster, a really big and ugly one, whatever you want to call it. The battle rages, you against the monsters. Your blows land true and you strike most of them down, while a few manage to flee. The big one is the last to fall, but after an exhausting fight you manage to take him down, too. In the lair of the big one, you find treasures worth a total of 9 gold, 7 silver. You search for common items among the loot:

  • A piece of hardened leather, raw material for leather armour.
  • A sword, broken and battered in many battles. It is of no use in combat, at least not in this condition.
  • A statuette carved from wood, depicting a local deity.
  • An empty carrying case for scrolls or maps.

Undeads

After searching the area for 3 hours, following trails and noises, you finally encounter an organized horde of militant, heavily armed undead. They are led by an undead champion, an evil creature with more power and intelligence than the usual lot. Because you are close to home and familiar with the lay of the land, you are able to use the terrain to your advantage. The battle rages, you against the undead. Your blows land true, shattering them to dust left and right. The champion makes you sweat; he is quite the opponent. But in the end, he is just a pile of bones, too. Among what is left of the champion, you find treasures worth a total of 7 gold. You search for common items among the loot:

  • A mysterious item that looks valuable, but you have no idea what it is, and neither has anyone else you ask.
  • A piece of rope.
  • A set of bandages and alcohol, not to drink but to clean out wounds. This will improve your chances of healing from serious wounds, but will be used up in the process.
  • A piece of hardened leather, raw material for leather armour.
  • A well-sized piece of high-quality leather. Excellent material for armour.
  • A knife that was used to murder someone, the blood of the victim is still dry upon the blade.
  • A goblet of silver, dirty but not broken.
  • A statuette carved from wood, depicting a local deity.
  • An expensive-looking amulet.

After searching the area for 2 hours, following trails and noises, you finally encounter a warband of militant, heavily armed undead. Among what is left of the champion, you find treasures worth a total of 3 gold, 8 silver. You search for common items among the loot:

  • A simple bedroll, used to sleep on the floor.
  • A small barrel of beer, you can use this to regain a bit of fatigue.
  • The tusks of a large, wild boar. Can be used to cut tools or ornaments.
  • For the remains of the destroyed undead, you also collect 5 silver from the local undead-hunting bounty.
