Isana Everlight is a knight of Perdan in the East Continent.

Isana is tall, broad-shouldered, with a booming voice for command and a soft heart for training the young ones. She wears her dark hair in a long braid, and tucked under the tabard when fighting.

Early Years

Isana was the eldest child in a large family. She did not want for anything in her youth, save perhaps, proper recognition. Her brother Elios, eldest son of the family, was her parents' golden child, expected to inherit the manor and lordship. Isana was not denied the opportunity to take martial training alongside the family's militia--she even had a knack for it--but it was always assumed she would wed and take up the quiet life, not be a competitor for knighthood.

This assumption was picked up on by her brother, who used it as fodder to pick on his elder sister when other eyes were not upon them. He would take advantage of her good nature to trick her into falling into swamps or getting lost while trying to help the younger ones, all to lower her status in the eyes of their elders.

Throughout her youth, Isana had a skill for finding the sunny side of any situation. Despite being picked on and disapproved of, or perhaps because of it, she learned to look for the next positive step to take, and go that way, not looking back. She studied histories and skills that interested her, and took on the training of her younger siblings to keep busy and learning.

A New Horizon

With her 26th birthday looming, Isana decided to make her way as a knight in a new continent rather than be labeled a spinster in her family's estate on Beluaterra. She had long been in charge of training the new recruits, so none could doubt her skill and capability. The only resistance to her knighting was a quiet, wistful look from her mother. Her father and brothers near caused a parade in celebration. Whether that was for another knight in the family, or that she was leaving, none looked too closely.

Her father bestowed upon her a family heirloom to carry to the chosen new home overseas: a dueling sabre, with small semi-precious stones in the family's colours of white and green set into its handguard, ornate with twisting leaves and wrapped with gilt. Although is always an archer primarily, she carries and uses the sabre with pride.
