Introduction

Caranthir Dagoriad is a son of Alexius and the rightful heir to the family's posessions. He is a highly loyal noble whose finest characteristics are those of patience and determination. Caranthir remained on Atamara as a warder of the family home in service to the Kingdom of Carelia, and serving as a knight of Sullenport he seeks a chance to prove and wrap himself in the Carelian flags of glory.

Appearance

As told by Matheus the Slender:
"Caranthir was black-haired, his height is medium, so that neither does he appeared great among the small, nor yet does he seemed small among the great. His eyes were full, guileless, and dove-like when he is at peace, gleaming like fire when his temper is aroused, and in bursts of passion they flash like lightning. He had a broad, square, lion-like face. Curved legs, a horseman's shins, broad chest, and a boxer's arms all announce him as a man strong, agile and bold... he never sits, unless riding a horse or eating... In a single day, if necessary, he can run through four or five day-marches and, thus foiling the plots of his enemies, frequently mocks their plots with surprise sudden arrivals.

Fighting Style

A great admirer of heavily armored knights and powerful mounts, Caranthir is usually seen riding with cavalry. However, besides just being a well trained jouster, he has a wide arsenal of weapons which he uses in different stages of close combat. On the battlefield Caranthir starts off with a mighty charge, wielding his powerful joust straight at the ranks of the unlucky defenders on his path. After the initial charge though, and if there are any left to fight in the first place, he uses a mace and a shield in order to recompensate the vulnerability after the charge is over. His mount is likewise armored, mostly with sharp pikes on the head of the animal, and the dazzling strikes of his mace accompanied by the invincible blocking techniques of his shield mark him as a worthy opponent even once the advanatage of his charge is diminished.
