Our Belief

Out of the Republic of Ibladesh the Church of Ibladesh was born. Out of the ashes of war...and the betrayal of friends the Holy Church of Ibladesh was born. And as all things in life do...these deeds of enemies turned friend have come full circle and we find ourselves at war with those we once held dear and at peace with those we once called enemy. The history of this realm is rich and diverse and we seek to maintian that diversity with in our Theocracy.

The Church of Ibladesh offers a spiritual path, and a way of being that embraces a number of ideals and beliefs. This spiritual path teaches a belief in the fundamentally spiritual nature of life. A pantheon of gods and goddess exist to guide us on our spiritual path. We have had 4 gods revealed to us thus far through the faithful journey of Rainna, each of these gods brings us a special gift and dictates a different path…they are Ramsus, supreme leader… Sartan, god of war… Kokini, god of stealth and mischief and Tersea, god of trade and economics. The Church of Ibladesh tolerates diversity and recognizes that the gods work in mysterious ways, often times revealing only that which the people need to know at the moment they need to know it. We must recognize that none of us has the monopoly on truth, and diversity is both healthy and natural.

In our quest to honor our gods and live a spiritual life we embrace these goals….

Justice… it is our path…ordained by the gods to seek what is just and honorable in this world and to uphold and defend these rights for ourselves and for others.

Honor… it is our path…ordained by the gods to strive tolive an honorable life…one that shows respect to the people around us… the land we live off of ….The choices we make we make because they are the right and honorable thing to do not always however the easy thing to do.

Wisdom… it is our path…ordained by the gods to constantly challenge ourselves to study and learn…to gain the knowledge that will help us make wise decisions…to engage in dialogue that will challenge us to see the truth in the world around us by encouraging open minded and fair exchanges of information and discourse.

Creativity… it is our path…. ordained by the gods to recognize that we are meant to fully participate in life and that we are meant to express and share our creativity as much as we can.

Love… it is our path…. ordained by the gods to create a sense of community with in our realm…to encourage a love of each other by fostering the relationships between friends and family with in this community.

Ranks of The Church of Ibladesh

Senior Ranks

Arch Priest
The Founder of the religion is called the Arch Priest. He/She is of course a priest(ess) who leads the religion. Unfortunatly due to our long history, the Arch Priest has left us and the Guild Leader has taken full responsability over the Church.

Guild Leader
The Guild Leader of the religion is the leader whenever his/her superior is out of office, or away. He/She will take over all the tasks when needed and will lead the religion. This person is not necessarily a priest.

High Priest
Whenever there are several priests, one will be chosen to perform as the High Priest of the Church. This priests leads the rest of the priests and can command them. A High Priest will only be appointed if the other elder can trust him/her. Because as an elder member of the Church you carry the most responsability.

Member Ranks

Pontifex
A similar special full member rank for the current Pontifex of Ibladesh. He/She carries the same, or even more responsability. He/She is able to communicate with the Gods whenever needed. Being able to do so means he _should_ also when people ask for it. Not following the course of the Gods means that the rules of the Church are not followed.

Acolyte
This is a special full member rank for the current Acolyte of Ibladesh. Being so high in the rank means the Acolyte also carries a lot of responsability. He/She should be an example for the rest of the Church and follows the rules of Ibladesh and the Church.

Benefactors
Elder members have the ability to look up your balance towards the Church. If you have donated 200 gold or more, you will be promoted to the Benefactor rank. These are the highest respected 'normal' nobles of the Church and their voice is one the elders will have to listen to. You also receive a maximum debt towards the Church of 100 gold, due to the generous donations. Remember that whenever you go below +200 balance, you will be demoted to Evangelist again.

Priest
The Priest rank is the obvious rank for the priests of the Church. If you want to become a priest, you have to be at least a Devotee. That means you need to be a full member of the Church before you can even switch to the class. Whenever switched class, a elder member will see to it that you will be promoted to the Priest rank. Again a respected rank as the Priests or the people who keep the religion alive.

Evangelist
The Evangelist is the promotion from a Devotee. Although, it is not an elder who chooses who gets promoted. The way is similar as to become a full member. Again you need to donate to receive this rank. It is twice as much as for Devotee. Evangelists are commonly seen as respected members of the Church. They wish to participate in the Church's matters.

Devotee
Devotee is a full member rank. You can become this full member rank by donating a small amount to the Church as an initiated. This will show The Church that you are willing to sacrifice and are devoted to The Church. As a full member you have more responsabilities towards the Church. If an issue matters Church-wide, only full members will be asked for an opinion.

Aspirant ranks

Initiated
Once you accept the path of The Church and are willing to move on, you can be initiated by an elder member or a Priest. There will be a small initiation about who we are and how we work. After this you will become an Initiated within The Church. This is the highest Aspirant rank you can become. From here on you will become a full member of The Church.

Follower
People that are interested in The Church of Ibladesh can always join at one of our temples. The joining fee is 10 gold and you will become a regular Follower. As a Follower you show your support to the religion but are not dedicated to it. Mostly nobles from outside Ibladesh stay to show respect and support.
