The Canon of the Netherworld is a strange book. Its cover is a suede-like grey fabric that is always cold to the touch.
The corners of the book are rounded and etched with runes that shine a deep reddish-copper in firelight.
The inside pages contain text and images that evade the eye, becoming smaller or seeming to move across the page when focused on.
