The following article is about the founding and adventures with one of the lost Great Chain Mails. These records are collected by a variaty of nobles who wish to record the history around unique items.
The founding of The Black Chain Mail of the Kings
It was during the autumn of early 1010 (OOC: January 11th 2010) when Clarissa Van Hoensbroeck, bastard-daughter of Henk Van Hoensbroeck was exploring the region of Springdale on Dwilight. Outside the city gates she searched one of the few small forest area's for about 2 hours. She followed different trails and paths, looking at prints left in the mud and the grass. Finally she encountered a large horde of monsters gathered around what seems to be a cave opening in a small rock group. Clarissa noticed that the horde has a leader, an alpha male, the biggest and most ugly one of the monsters. Because she is familiar with these lands, and she knows them well, she has an advantage when fighting these monsters.
The battle
After checking whether she has her bow and arrows present, along with a few knifes, she checks whether she can easily grasp her sword. Clarissa positions herself behind a tree, upon a small elevated land patch. She fired a short volley of ten arrows at the monsters. Three arrows missed their targets, but the others hit their mark. Those arrows took out the first two monsters, but they did alarm the others, which turned around and headed towards the tree after which Clarissa was hiding. When she saw the monsters coming, she switched her bow for her sword and waited until the first monsters were within range. With her first blow she took out a monster, but the others took more time. Now there was only one monster left. The big ulgy one, the alpha male, who stayed behind was lurking to attack Clarissa. She dodge his attacked, made a roll over the ground and showed up at his left-back side. With a swing of her sword she took out his left leg. But he wasn't beaten yet. A few blows later the monster was beaten and lay dead on the ground.
The Cave
Now she had time to check out the cave. Within the cave Clarissa found a great number of silver pieces, probably from merchants and other locals, who have been raided by the monsters. The total bounty was an amount of 5 gold, 9 silver. But there was another item in the cave. One that had long been forgotton: The Black Chain Mail of the Kings. She picked it up and added it to her backpack. She would sell it to it's new owner, whom that would be.
