The Black Arrow of Daemonslaying is so named for the dark viscous blood that coats this mighty relic. It is rumored to have slain a mighty daemon, and tasted the blood of many other creatures - both human and otherwise.
The Arrow was found in the Talerian desert in the winter of 2008. Carried in battle by Murakama Hottori, Viscount of Lowdale, it has been put to good use against some of the unnatural beasts for which it was made.
The Arrow is constructed of materials unknown to modern alchemy, though no scholars have had a chance to analyse it. Desert folklore holds that a dark magic in the ancient demon's blood keeps him from returning to Talerium so long as it still coats the arrow that slew him.
