If you are moving a page from the old battlemaster wiki, please read [[Help:Tiki Conversion]]. This is also helpful if you are used to the Tiki Wiki as Media Wiki does some things differently.

Creating a new page is easy, and will help expand the Battlemaster wiki. Please take a few minutes to read through the appropriate parts of this page before you add your new contribution.

General Help

If you are new to using wikis, you should probably read the help on editing. The Style Guide is important for keeping the wiki consistent and easy to use. In particular, you should:

  • Use the "Show Preview" button. You should only save your work when you are sure you are finished.
  • Not use CamelCase, put spaces in your page titles
  • Use sub-pages. The only things that deserve to have a page at the top of the hierarchy are Family Pages, Realm Pages, Guild Pages and Manual pages. You can create sup-pages using a forward slash. (e.g. name your article Main Page/Subpage)
    • Pages about your characters should be subpages of the family page. (e.g. Smith Family/John, not John)
    • Information about the history of a realm should be on the realm page. If the history is very long, it might be appropriate to place a short summary on the realm page and make history a subpage.
    • Pages about your character's favourite weapon, an alehouse, or a long document disparaging your enemies should all be subpages of a family, realm, or guild, whichever is most appropriate.
