(November 1st, 2017: Finally regained access. I'll pop in to edit as I recall Aurea history. Henceforth, I may be found via the cadet branch.)

Back in 2012, the Aurea dynasty was strong and virile. Lady Alura Aurea was ruler of Terran, marshal of the Phantarian Pride, set to marry Rynn JeVondair after their long plot came to fruition. Dreams of uniting Terran-D'hara into an empire soon faltered in the wake of fate's misfortune. Disease sook took her (and her player) from the theater of war and intrigue. Years passed; Rynn remarried; and in 2015 Alura's bastard children returned with a vengeance.

Magnus Aurea, (Son of Alura) having served the Cagilan Empire as a skilled marksman and minor Lord unto its dying day, departed for newly-founded Xavax in the East Continent. He went on to become the First Xerarch of Xavax and Voice of the Phoenix cult, before youthful naivete and trusting nature brought passionate reign to its knees amidst rebel plot. He has long been presumed dead. (Deleted account)

Alekhsandr Aurea (cousin of Alura) became Prince-at-Arms of Fissoa, and count of Mangai. In time, he too faded from history.

   "Oh - burning spirit:
   By the flame's ascension,
   Through the ashen tomb;
   Of the frozen veil
   In the Southern womb
   Unto the heart of righteous pride,
   Lay stark the blind Carrion creed;
   Whence vengeance struck true!
   T'was the day dear Xavax cried...
   By the flame's denial,
   Through the shattered tomb;
   Lay the parted veil,
   In a sundered womb.
   Unto the body of bitter faith,
   Whence stood tall the Carrion creed;
   Fate took vengeance upon me,
   Aye - t'was the day my Xavax died."
   -First Xerarch Magnus Aurea the Mad King

"If you're surprised to find one born of both JeVondair and Aurea, then you don't seem to realize Magnus, too, was born out of wedlock to Rynn JeVondair and Alura Aurea. Hell, its why Selenia rebuked his romantic advances, so I once heard whispered.

When our mother fell into a feverish coma in the midst of her very wedding day, Rynn did his best to stay by her side. Soon enough, however, a nobleman's duty calls. He was forced to depart Terran - and as the weeks and months wore on without change - forget his promise to my mother.

Their dreams of a united D'haran-Terran empire died the day he abandoned Terran in the name of a Lord's honor. One could expect him to do naught else in the face of a comatose fiance bearing unknown child. The chances of survival are decidedly slim for that child... In this case, those children. Fraternal twins to be exact. I doubt Rynn ever realized my mother awoke from her slumber long enough to live out the final, miserable days of her pregnancy. Oh, how she is said to have cried. How the vibrant, stalwart ruler of Terran - Marshal of the Phantarian Pride - could find herself granted the gift of life in the face of such misfortune. Terran collapsed not long after, the daemon hordes consuming all in their path.

...Yet some remained loyal to my mother's dream while a select few were aware of our... Not-so-public origins. After all, Rynn ended up marrying another with which he sired a brood. Nonetheless, the blood of a Dragon King flows within our veins, officially bastardized as it may be. By some twisted stroke of fate, the destruction of Terran allowed us to be carted away with little fanfare. No one had the means to question our bloodline following the death of both country and progenitor. So, it was conveniently glazed over as my brother and I were each taken to different places. Raised in different households, different cultures, with divergent knowledge of what had come to pass."
