The Atriedes family have long been poorer nobles from the Sordidus region, presently part of the Light of Fountain Realm.

The head for the family is presently Ioan as his father Paul is rather old and not involved in much other than his collection of butterflys. Ioan is ably assisted by his brother Leto, and his captain Duncan.

The family is rather inconsequential, but has historically taken it's duties very seriously.
