Syrus was a child of Rev and Mathis's mother who presumably died as a child. Two commoners have previously tried to claim to be him, though both gave up the facade quickly. A third commoner, a man by the name of Ferald Guthskepper originally of lands no too far to the north of the Athins' family estate, has now taken on the name.
