Temples
The First Temple

- Founder: Cayden Navaar - Avatar of the Red Flame
The first temple, carved from stone in Stora, sat at the base of the volcano and near the ocean. A place where fire and sea met. Cayden had picked this village for that very reason, to honor Galtea first, but acknowledge Dalai's influence upon the world. For the first time in months, he felt the wrath of the fire Goddess dwindling to what could be perceived as a purring crackle of flames. She was pleased with her Avatar.
The sound of fireworks with the dawn drew people from their homes, first in a panic, and then in awe. Bright colors filled the sky for a time until Cayden felt a sufficient crowd had gathered. "People of Stora! I am the prophet of Galtea, the Emberic Goddess of the Volcano, and guide to the other Gods that She works with. These fireworks, are a celebration of fire, and we will have them again every founding day!"
A few kids in the crowd began to applaud, followed by their parents, excited for some entertainment. A new religion didn't mean much at first, but at least drew in a crowd. "I promise, no matter how you live your life, you are welcome beyond these temple doors. Faith is not exclusive to the honorable, but to everyone, struggling, adapting, and doing what they can to get by." As the fireworks died out, Cayden made his way up the stone steps and took a torch from an elegantly carved support column. He held it over his head and continued. "Today I will give my first sermons. I wish you all to come, if you worshipful of the volcano, or even the ocean, the skies, the fields, all are welcome, even if you are just curious."
Cayden removed his cloak and threw it on the ground, a cloak he had taken through he Pelnora Vents, covered in various ashes. With a grin he set the torch to his cloak and watched as it ignited in a myriad of colors to the gasps of the crowd before him. Cayden turned his back to the crowd and walked toward the temple. Pushing the doors open, he went inside.
