Background
Originally established in Riverholm, Abington on Atamara, the Arete family derives its name from the Greek word meaning "virtue," or more specifically, "the excellence that makes anything an outstanding specimen of its kind, especially well fitted to its ends" (Joe Sachs, Nicomachean Ethics, pg. 212).

Aeryn
The first member of the Arete family to enjoy the privileges of nobility, Aeryn choose Sir Phlex, Count of Washford, as her liege and patron. She is currently preparing to march to Stargard to assist in the defense of RedSpan against the Northern Alliance.
