Carmen

  • The trader's tongue makes the coin shine.
  • A shade for an eye.
  • One must be cruel to be kind.
  • Even a God can lie.
  • A knife behind every smile.

Aspects

Nalucht is commonly represented by three objects: a book, a scepter, and a dagger. These objects are illustrative of the three aspects of Nalucht, being the scholar, the politician, and the assassin. It is customary for a devotee to pray to Nalucht in one of his aspects, though modern worship takes a holistic view of the god and portrays him as three handed.

Morality

Despite his associations with assassination, plotting, and betrayal, Nalucht should not be thought of as a dark or evil god. Indeed, the actions he sanctions and protects are to be motivated by pragmatism or altruism - cruelties or deceitful actions committed for the greater good and with the will of the divine. As these actions border good and evil, it is common to associate Nalucht with the color gray, indicating the balance between light and dark.
