Amaury rode back to his estate after six long hours in the court room. It's fascinating, he thought, how little people will fight over if they had nothing. Men killing men over something as trivial as a loaf of bread. Peasants... Yet as loathsome as they were, Amaury saw them as a necessary tool for power. The more people, the more taxes. The more taxes, the more power. And he had big plans.

Followed by his captain Ulman, Amaury galloped through the fields of Ciarin Tut on his way to home, when he saw her. He turned his horse and went over to Lady Danielle's encampment. A short distance from it, he dismounted, and straightened his armor, and with his horse in hand he walked towards the tents. The guards saluted and let him pass.

"Lady Danielle!", he shouted, "Are you here?"
