History
The ring was found by the commoner Tomball after looting a monster's lair in search of treasure. He fought his way deep inside the coastal cave where a band of trolls had taken up residency. After hours of navigating the maze of caves he came face to face with their chieftain. A fierce fight took place but in the end he had slain the monster and sent the rest fleeing. To claim his bounty he went to cut off the hand of the brute, only to notice that it wore a particularly special looking ring. Thinking this could be of great value to sell, he dropped it in his pocket, and went on his way.
