Page Information

This is a documentation subpage for the Delete template. It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

Intro

This template should be added to a page to request that the page be deleted. A wiki editor will review the request and, if deemed appropriate, delete the page.

Usage

Add the template to the top of the page using the following syntax:

{{Delete}}

For all but the simplest requests, you should include a reason for the deletion, as follows:

{{Delete|The page was named wrong, and it has already been moved to the right place.}}

This will produce the following:

Nominated for Deletion

This page has been nominated for deletion. The reason given is: The page was named wrong, and it has already been moved to the right place. This page is subject to deletion at any time by a wiki editor. If you wish to dispute the deletion of this page, state your reasons on this page's talk page. Do not remove this template from this page, it will be removed by an editor if the deletion is denied.

The page will also automatically be added to Category:Deletion.

Disputes

If you feel a page has been improperly nominated for deletion, leave a note on the discussion page for that page. A wiki editor will review the request.
