 - Origins of the Lupercal Clan and it's diaspora

The Lupercal clan originates from Perdan city on the East Continent. Internally, the family refers to itself as the "The Lupercalians," and is in fact made up of several minor noble families that are joined together through a complex web of marriage and traditional belief that the original Lupercalians were raised by wolves. This clan emerged rom the obscurity of Perdan's minor nobility and began their debut with the Knight, Sir Lokal Lupercal. The efforts of the Lupercalians were dealt a severe blow when Perdan lost it's war against Caligus and Ibladesh. The clan turned on the young knight and his immediate family, blaming them personally for Perdan's loss. This internal power struggle resulted in the breakup of the clan into several distinct factions. Initially, the clan remained in Perdan city but divided around the more promient nobles of the clan. The hatred stirred up by the politics of the clan prompted Sir Lokal to leave Perdan with a small but dedicated group that became informally known as "Lokalians." The Lokalians travelled to Beluaterra and swore never to deal with the other Lupercalians again. Sir Jagged Lupercal, a cousin of Lokal, lead another group of Lupercalians to the Caligan Empire in Atmara. This group was primarily focused on mliitary advancement and believed that the Lupercalians could only rise to fame if they managed to place promient clan members in general positions. The richest Lupercalians banded around Graviel Lupercal and after selling their lands, travelled to Dwilight. This faction, simply referred to as "Graviel's Lot," believed that the world must be met on more realistic terms and almost religiously practice hard politics. After the diaspora of most of the clan, only a handful of Lupercalians remained on the East Continent. Impovished due to the actions of the other clan factions and jaded due to their perceived fianicial betrayal at the hands of Graviel, this faction of Lupercalians is highly paranoid and untrusting of everyone.

- Sir Lokal and the Lokalians: Honour restored

Disgraced in the eyes of many of the Lupercalian clan, Sir Lokal and his faction emigrated to Beluaterra. Obessed with regaining his lost honor, Sir Lokal pledged his loyalty to Avalon and fought in the fourth invasion. Lokal was killed during the final seige of Cteduul, Avalon's capital. Surrounded by all the members of Lokalian faction before his death, Lokal is believed to have uttered the words, "In death we shall be restored to honour!" Avalon fell shortly afterwards, and it is believed that all members of the Lokalian faction were destroyed along with realm.

- The Jaggedians: early success to early failure and new hope

The Jaggedian faction's initial success in Atmara was a welcome boon for the clan and they were for a brief period the most successful faction of the Lupercalians. Their success was cut tragically short when Sir Jagged was killed in an accident involving his horse. Without Jagged's leadership, this faction became highly disorganized until Lucius Lupercal, the younger brother of Graviel Lupercal, arrived from Dwilight. Lucius was sent primarily to reconnect with the Jaggedians and reunite the clan. When Lucius entered the Caligan Empire seeking Sir Jagged he found to his surprise that Jagged was dead and Lupercalians in Atmara leaderless. The young Lucius claimed the leadership of the Jaggedians and currently leads them in the Caligan Empire.

- Graviel's lot: Hard work and hard lessons

When largest part of the clan sold their lands in Perdan and travelled to Dwilight, many of the Lupercalians were skeptical of any success. Despite the difficulty of upheaval and transport to a less populated continent, Graviel's Lot came to settle in Caerwyn and prospered greatly. The success of Graviel and his lot in the politics of Caerwyn was not mirrored in Caerwyn's fortunes. Though Graviel rose to become the Archon of Caerwyn, he was elected primarily to organize the emigration of a destroyed Caerwyn nobility to Madina. Leading his faction south Graviel cannot help but notice the growing dissent of his clan membmers during this time of hardship.
