Tarkus

Tarkus Volker was born and raised in the high hills around Stargard in Atamara, taught how to fight by his uncle Kradus Meridius and schooled in Da Way of Da Great Goat. After the tragic fall of Redspan he chose to join the ranks of the educated nobility as opposed to the less civilized noble class of the highland tribes, learning to read, write and conduct himself in a manner befitting the norm put forth by the rest of the world.

Tarkus eventually found his way to the realm of Carelia where he swore his oath to defend it and strive for glory in her name.

A scarring battle in his early days with Carelia convinced Tarkus that he was doing himself and his followers an injustice by trying to be somebody he was not. He shed the cloak of civilized nobility he had shrouded himself in after Redspan's demise and donned his kilt once more and allowed Da Way to govern him once again. Ever since, Tarkus has remained mostly drunk and unshakable on the field of battle.
