5th October 2010 - Some Lord Runnin' for Prime Minister
Message sent to everyone in your realm Noble Taleri, Today I ask you to make a choice. Make the choice for action. Make the choice for communication. Make the choice for true, nonpartisan freedom. For too long Talerium has grown increasingly stagnant, our border regions are growing wild, and the current leadership does not appear to be making any progress. Lowdale, previously a symbol of the power of the rule of Talerium, our most distant region... is now in ruins. Countless peasants slaughtered, peasant uprisings, even a defection to the Cagilan Empire. Even now, Lowdale is on the brink of rebellion, one false move and the region could throw away our glorious banner. Cantril, our most populous non-city was also close to full out rebellion, but they were brought back in line, so why can't we mobilize to show the people of Lowdale our glory? We march out on a campaign when our home is not stable. Does this seem correct? We need new leaders. New ideas. The Talerium of today is not the glorious Republic of yesterday. Though Aldarion has led Talerium admirably for many years, I believe that it is time that someone else take the reins. I believe that it should be I who takes the reins. I can envision a powerful Talerium. I can see new lands. I can see new opportunity. I can see a new rise of Talerium, powerful and influential. What say you, Taleri? Shall we march off to the east because of old bonds? Fight a war that does not affect us? Or shall we try to grow? Will we try to reclaim our glory? A vote for Kartet is a vote for a powerful future. If anything, it is a vote that says that the status quo is not accepted, and that we nobles desire change. Talerium Prevails, Kartet ka Habb Viscount of Mattlu
Your men drink and feast and morale rises by 10 points to 80 % - 8 gold
Good times. Nothin' feels as good as giving a dirty peasant a good kickin' to put them in their place once in a while.
The Judge of Carelia, Leta Kindon, has decided to publicly executed the rogue Borus Von Igelfeld in Strombran.
So I have been appointed on the Talerium Noble Residence Board (TNRB) to try to bring more nobles to our beautify sandy desert land of fine women, fine milk and fine camels. Alright I was self appointed really and the Talerium Noble Residence Board is just me but then just me is more than enough for most especially the ladies and I needed an impressive sounding title for the work I am going to do.. if I can sober up... Why come to Talerium... um.. what points should I write?
.. alright, I think that is it. Probably need to write them up a bit better tho for the masses then will start advertising it proper. By the deserts, I am good. * drinks * * burp *
Have been ordering me men to do civic work whilst I was gettin' drunk watchin' them work. I worked them so hard that seven men left me (21% morale). Blast them! I'll hang them up by their boots if I ever see them again. So I went back to the capital and got some more slaves.. err.. men. I command sixty two men now... the best archers in the land to do civic work. Then I went to the chummily beer brewery and gone for a drink with me men. (9 hours of expensive entertainment) I can't remember for the life of me how much I paid but it seems a lot. Probably got conned into forking out more gold coins then I realised in my drunken state.
They also learn to know each other better and unit cohesion rises 4 points.
